Peru soccer team defeats Venezuela 1-0 at Copa America 2015

The Peruvian national adult soccer team managed to beat its Venezuelan counterpart by a 1-0 score at the ‘Chile 2015 Copa America’ tournament on Thursday evening.

Striker and Bayern Muenchen star Claudio Pizarro scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute.

The game took place at the Valparaiso’s Elias Figueroa stadium.

The triumph has enabled Peru to get its first 3 points in the said tournament. It must be noted every team comprised in the C group has earned 3 points so far. The said group is also composed of Brazil and Colombia.

Previously, Peru had lost against Brazil (2-1).

On Sunday, Peru will face Colombia in Temuco City.
