Peru is sending a total of 236 athletes to the upcoming Odesur South American Games in Santiago, Chile.
The Peruvian delegation will compete in 30 sports during the South American Sports Organization (Odesur) Games from March 7-18.
The twelve-day event will bring together some 3,500 athletes from Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Competing on behalf of Peru will be Ines Melchor and Wilma Arizapana in athletics, Mauricio Fiol in swimming and Nicolas Pacheco in shooting.
This is the most important sports event in Chile after the 1962 FIFA World Cup.
