Peru: Regional food exports reached US$1.807 billion in 2015's first half

With the exception of Lima and Callao regions, regional food exports totaled US$1.807 billion in the first half of 2015, which leads to a 0.8% increase compared to the similar period last year, Peru’s Exporters Association (ADEX) announced.

During that period, the supply was composed of products, such as: Grapes, mangoes, avocados, asparagus, squids, bananas, scallops, shrimp tails, fish fillets, cacao beans, artichokes and tangerines, among others, the guild stated.

Main target markets were the United States (US$ 513.3 million), Netherlands (US$ 235.4 million), Spain, China, Ecuador, United Kingdom, France, Hong Kong, Germany, Korea South, Italy, Japan, Chile, Canada, Belgium and Brazil, among others.

Currently, agribusiness and fishing companies participate as exhibitors in the 7th edition of Expoalimentaria 2015 fair organized by Peru’s Exporters Association (ADEX).
