As at August 31st, Peru's modified institutional budget execution surpassed S/14 billion (about US$4.320 billion), the Economy and Finance Ministry reported.
Progress was driven by local governments' accumulated execution that exceeded S/6 billion (about US$1.852 billion).
Likewise, the annual variation of public investment execution grew 16% in August from the similar period in 2016.
It must be noted S/2.425 billion (about US$748.46 million) was executed in the analyzed month.
The national government headed August's chart with S/1.011 billion (about US$312.04 million; +24%), followed by the regional government with S/520 million (about US$160.49 million; +5%), and local governments with S/894 million (about US$275.93 million; +15%).
