Over the past 48 months, public investment set a new historical record by reaching an execution worth S/.113.880 billion (about US$35.811 billion), Peru’s Finance Ministry announced.
The said dates comprise the period from August 2011 to July 31, 2015.
According to the portfolio, the amount exceeded the quantity registered in the previous 10 years: S/.109.555 billion (about US$34.45 billion).
“The performance is due to the execution, which exceeds by 48% [the public investment] carried out in the previous [presidential] term [August 2006 to July 2011]," it read. The said was worth S/.76.592 billion (about US$24.085 billion).
