Peru’s Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano has arrived to speak before the Congress and present his administration’s guidelines to seek a vote of confidence.

Cateriano Bellido was sworn in as Humala’s new Cabinet Chief on April 2, after his predecessor, Ana Jara, resigned her post in view of the censure motion brought by lawmakers.

Peru’s Prime Minister has held meetings with different politicians, businessmen and civil society representatives before speaking at the Congress.

He got together with Popular Cristiano (PPC) party founder, Luis Bedoya Reyes; former Presidents, Alan Garcia; Alejandro Toledo; former Congresswoman, Keiko Fujimori; and Lima’s Mayor Luis Castañeda Lossio.

Other meetings included the Governing Body of the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (Confiep) and representatives of the General Confederation of Workers of Peru (CGTP), among others.
