Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Tuesday welcomed newly-elected Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) Chairman Neven Ilic at Lima's Government Palace.
The Head of State and the PASO officer discussed preparations for the 2019 Pan American Games, to be hosted by the Inca country.
The meeting also saw the presence of Carlos Neuhaus, Chairman of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games Organizing Committee (COPAL) and Oscar Fernandez, head of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD).
Topics addressed included Executive actions being implemented, such as infrastructure projects and the preparation of venues with a view to the said event.
These will include building a Pan American Sports Village, as well as adopting Peruvian Navy and Army premises to accommodate athletes and host different competitions.
