Peru President receives new Ambassadors’ credentials

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala Tasso today received diplomatic credentials from new Ambassadors of India, China, Spain and the Netherlands.

The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India Sandeep Chakravorty presented his credentials this morning at the Lima-based Government Palace.

The ceremony took place at the Palace Golden Hall in the presence of Peru’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Maria Sanchez.

Later, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Peru Jia Guide did the same, handing over his credential letters to Mr. Humala. 

Afterwards, Jia Guide held a short meeting with the Peruvian leader and Minister Sanchez.

Right after that, the new Dutch Ambassador to Peru Wiebe Jakob de Boer presented his credentials to President Humala. The ceremony was held in the presence of a diplomatic mission assigned to join him during his tenure as envoy to Lima.

Finally, Mr. Humala received credential letters from the newly-named Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain Ernesto de Zulueta Habsburgo.

De Zulueta met with President Humala and Minister Sanchez following the short ceremony.
