Peru: President Kuczynski seeks for peace in inaugural speech

Newly-appointed President of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski addresses the nation with a message full of hope soon after the inaugural ceremony at the Congress headquarters.

Speaking before high-ranking authorities including six Latin American leaders and the King of Spain Juan Carlos I, Kuczynski reiterated his commitment to peace and unity of the country.

“I say ‘yes’ to peace and unity, but ‘no’ to confrontation and division,” he stated.

According to the nation’s top leader, the Republic is aimed at achieving equity, equality and brotherhood among Peruvians.
