Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Sunday night congratulated Emmanuel Macron's victory in the French presidential elections.
Via Twitter, the Head of State expressed his willingness to continue strengthening bonds uniting both nations.
The 39-year-old social-liberal candidate faced female opponent Marine Le Pen in the European country's run-off.
Results showed him claiming 65.82% of total votes in the first ever election he has contested, defeating nationalist Le Pen (34.18%), according to AFP.
