Peruvian President Ollanta Humala participated in the ceremony marking the inauguration of the National Optic-Fiber Backbone in the Andean Huancavelica region.
The said network will enable to provide high-speed internet access and diverse telecommunications services at accessible prices.
The project was worth US$12 million, the Lima Government’s Palace affirmed.
The activity, held at the Huancavelica city’s Main Square, also featured the tele-education and tele-health programs.
