Within the framework of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) celebrated in Paris, Peru's President Ollanta Humala held a series of bilateral meetings with Heads of State and Government.
According to Peru's Government Palace, Mr. Humala held talks with New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, Jordan King Abdullah II, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, as well as Bolivian President Evo Morales.
Likewise, Peru's top official attended the COP21 opening ceremony held at Seine room.
The said session saw the participation of over 150 dignitaries and delegation chiefs, who hope to reach a binding agreement aimed to prevent world's temperature from climbing above 2 Celsius degrees.
The opening speech was in charge of hosting nation’s Head of State François Hollande, following a minute of silence for terror attacks perpetrated in Paris.
President Humala is joined by Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ana Maria Sanchez, as well as Peru's Environment Minister Manuel Pulgar-Vidal.
