13:32 | Paris (France), Jun. 9.

President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Friday discussed the Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) support to Peruvian water and sewerage programs with its Head, Luis Alberto Moreno.

The meeting —which took place within the framework of President Kuczynski's France visit— also addressed the coming Summit of the Americas, to be hosted by Peru next year.

"We have just concluded a meeting with the Chairman of IDB with ideas for the next Summit of the Americas in April," the Head of State said following the dialogue.

Topics addressed also included "IDB's support to our water and sanitation program, as well as the digitalization of [Peru's] Judicial Branch and Prosecutor's Office."

This is not the first time the multilateral financial institution has expressed its interest in Peru's water projects.

Last month, IDB invited Housing, Construction and Sanitation Minister Edmer Trujillo to present Peru's experience in speeding up water investment during its "Water and Sanitation Week" forum.

At the time, the government official shared the sector's need for efficient investment to help close water and sanitation services gaps.
