Peru President concludes participation in Lenin Moreno's inauguration

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Wednesday afternoon ended his participation in Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno's inauguration ceremony at the National Assembly headquarters.

Peru's Head of State wished the newly sworn-in leader success in his administration and reiterated his call on guaranteeing democracy in Latin America.

"Let us keep working on democratic continuity and respect for institutional character in the region," he posted on Twitter.
 
During the inaugural event, the statesman exchanged a few words with Chilean counterpart Michelle Bachelet, who sat next to him.

Both leaders will soon meet again for the first Peru-Chile Binational Cabinet, slated for July 7 in South-Andean Cusco region. 

Mr. Kuczynski attended the inauguration joined by Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna and Peruvian Ambassador to Ecuador Hugo Otero. 

Following the ceremony, he participates in a luncheon offered by President Moreno at Itchimbia's Crystal Palace. 
 
The top official will then return to Lima. His arrival at Air Group No. 8 is scheduled for 6:40 PM.
