Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski has arrived in Spain to start an official visit featuring meetings with King Felipe VI, President of the Government Mariano Rajoy and businesspeople.
Mr. Kuczynski arrived at Madrid's Adolfo Juarez Barajas Airport, joined by Ministers Ricardo Luna (Foreign Affairs) and Alfredo Thorne (Economy and Finance).
The delegation is also composed of Foreign Ministry Economic Affairs Director-General Luis Quesada, International Affairs Advisor Roberto Rodriguez and State Protocol Director-General Juan Carlos Gamarra.
Upon arrival in Madrid, the Head of State was received by Peruvian Ambassador to Spain Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde.
Thus, Mr. Kuczynski will hold a working meeting with
President of the Government Mariano Rajoy at Moncloa Palace. Both leaders will share a working breakfast joined by Ministers Ricardo Luna and Alfredo Thorne, as well as Ambassador Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde and presidential advisor Alberto Rodriguez.
Likewise, he is to meet with Prisa Group Chairman Juan Luis Cebrian and El Pais Editor-in-Chief Antonio Caño at Casino de Madrid, where he will open the forum "El Peru del Futuro" (Peru of the Future).
Activities in Spain will also include a work session with members of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) featuring CEOE President Juan Rosell, Spain Chamber of Commerce Head Jose Luis Bonet and Secretary of State for Commerce Maria Luisa Poncela, as well as main Spanish business leaders.
In addition, the President will meet with His Majesty King Felipe VI at Zarzuela Palace.
Mr. Kuczynski will return to Peru after concluding the official visit. His arrival is slated for Wednesday, June 14.
