Peru PM takes part in WEF Annual Meeting 2018

Peru's Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz participates in WEF.

Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz currently participates in the World Economic Forum's 48th Annual Meeting in Davos.

Her presence at the event is intended to draw private investment flows into the Inca country.

It must be noted this is the first time said event will be —exclusively— led by women as the organization will provide various formulas to reduce gender gaps in the socio-economic field.

Within this framework, the also second Vice-President will hold meetings with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and Viet Nam's Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue.

Likewise, she will participate in the diplomatic dialogue on Venezuela's crisis by representing Peru, Lima Group's main member.

Araoz will also meet with Organisation Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) authorities, as well as directors of important companies such as PepsiCo, Repsol, Novartis, InBev, Newmont Mining Corporation, and Ferrovial, among others.

The World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting 2018 will run thru January 26.
