Peru’s Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano thinks that UK’s exit from the European Union (EU), decided by a referendum, is a hard blow to such community initiated as a continental unification project.

“The dramatic UK referendum result is a hard blow to the European Union,” the Cabinet Chief posted on his Twitter account.

The first consequences in the United Kingdom will not only cause political imbalance, but also economic uncertainty, which worsens the international crisis.

To Cateriano, the European Union is a praiseworthy political and economic integration process.

“Its role in defending democratic values is remarkable,” the President of the Council of Ministers added.
