The Peruvian Special Parliamentary Commission on the Pacific Alliance Monitoring will assume the bloc's Pro-Tempore Presidency in Bogota (Colombia).

The session will see the presence of delegations from Colombia, Chile and Mexico.

While holding the Presidency, the national commission will undertake efforts to support the trading bloc consolidation, to deepen integration and to define joint actions aimed at leading to a trade connection with the Asia-Pacific bloc, it was announced.

Three Peruvian legislators will attend the Bogota meeting on September 11-12. Along with their Mexican, Chilean and Colombia counterparts, they will set the topics and work agenda.

The Alliance’s objective is to reach economic development, provide proposals to solve issues faced by the four economies and tackle poverty with the aim of making progress.
