Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) made the 2025 National Strategic Exports Plan (PENX) official seeking more sustainable and diversified growth of Peruvian exports in markets around the world.

PENX 2025 will replace the previous plan —covering years 2003-2013— with the aim of adapting to a new international scenario and the country’s shifting reality.

It is divided into three sections. The first one is the export chapter, the second one has to do with a supportive public policy on exports, and the last one involves the update of PENX, that is, its pillars, objectives and implementation and assessment mechanisms.

“Taking into account that over 90% of Peruvian exports are made under trade agreements, PENX 2025 adopts a new approach: the consolidation of Peru’s presence abroad through globalization of its companies,” Mincetur Head Magali Silva stated.

The aim is to create a favorable environment for Peruvian enterprises, so that they can operate in an international sphere not only by developing exports, but by moving forward towards expansion and development.
