Peru: New President enters Government Palace

Peru's new President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski entered Lima-based Government Palace facilities following his swearing-in at Congress on Thursday morning.

Mr. Kuczynski was joined by Vice-Presidents Martin Vizcarra and Mercedes Araoz, along with Cabinet members to be sworn-in during the afternoon.

After paying tribute to the national flag at Parliament, he walked across Junin Ave. greeting people standing outside the Legislative Palace.

The former minister seemed happy while waving at citizens.

Upon arrival at the compound, he was welcomed with corresponding honors by the Guard of Honor.
