The national road network will be paved at an 86.6% rate by July 2016, when current President Ollanta Humala concludes his Presidential term.
Thus, it would mean increasing the paved length from 12,514 to 19,991 kilometers (a growth of 53%), Transport and Communications Minister Jose Gallardo Ku affirmed.
The Minister said other 5,600 km will be tendered by next July. Thanks to these efforts a total of 25,600 will have been paved.
“It means, we are going to more than duplicate what we had in 2011,” he underlined.
