Agenda topics to be discussed at the 5th National Agreement for Justice debate session on Tuesday will include the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) report.

The National Agreement for Justice constitutes an initiative aimed at achieving a high-quality judicial system.

The meeting is scheduled to kick off at 8.00 AM at Peru's Academy of Magistrates (AMAG) headquarters, its President Josue Pariona informed.

This time, Peruvian justice authorities will also address the approval of the Inter-Justice Protocol, an instrument covering proceedings to introduce bills, as well as the date for the next audience.

Pariona stressed the relevance of AMAG's commitment to the Agreement, highlighting the institution plays a key role in the work of judges and prosecutors nationwide.

In this respect, he stressed the Academy does its best in training magistrates with top national and international experts, so they will "optimize their work for the benefit of citizens."

National Agreement for Justice

The National Agreement for Justice comprises the Justice and Human Rights Ministry, the Judicial Branch, the National Magistrates Council, the Judicial Attorney General's Office and the National Magistrates Academy.

The covenant aims to bolster the fight against corruption, reduce judicial caseload for enhanced efficiency and quality, as well as train judges and prosecutors.

Likewise, it seeks the adoption of legislative rules and measures; transparency in all acts and decisions; as well as joint work.
