The Peruvian Government has appointed Mario Juvenal Lopez Chavarri as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Republic of Panama.

Appointment was made official by Supreme Resolution No. 134-2017-RE, published in the official gazette El Peruano.

This takes place in accordance with the Peruvian Constitution, which established the presidential power to appoint ambassadors and ministers plenipotentiary with the approval of the Cabinet.

Corresponding credentials and full powers have been granted to the diplomat as provided by said document.

A subsequent ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new Ambassador will officially take up his diplomatic duties.
