Peru names new envoy to Canada

The Government of Peru has recently appointed Doraliza Marcela Lopez Bravo as the new head of the Peruvian diplomatic mission in Canada through a supreme resolution published today in El Peruano official gazette.

Appointment takes place in accordance with the clause 12 of the article 118 of Peru’s Constitution, which established the power of the President of the Republic to appoint plenipotentiary ambassadors and ministers with the approval of the Cabinet and Congress.

Credentials and full powers have been issued to the diplomat in accordance with the resolution No. 222-2015-RE.

A ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new Ambassador will officially take up her diplomatic duties.

The document was signed by Peruvian President Ollanta Humala and Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Maria Sanchez de Rios.
