Peru names new Ambassador to Norway

The Government of Peru has recently appointed Jose Luis Salinas Montes as the new head of the Peruvian diplomatic mission to the Kingdom of Norway.

Credentials and full powers have been granted to the diplomat in accordance with resolution No. 144-2017-RE published in El Peruano official gazette.

A subsequent ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new Ambassador will officially take up his diplomatic duties.

Appointment takes place in accordance with the clause 12 of the article 118 of Peru's Constitution, which established the power of the President of the Republic to appoint ambassadors and ministers plenipotentiary with the approval of the Cabinet and Congress.

The document was signed by Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna Mendoza.
