Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry has appointed First Vice-President Martin Alberto Vizcarra Cornejo as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Canada.

The appointment was made official by Supreme Resolution, published today in El Peruano official gazette.

Vizcarra thus replaces Ambassador Doraliza Marcela Lopez Bravo in this post.

Corresponding credentials and full powers shall be issued to the senior official as provided by said document.

Also, a subsequent resolution will set the date on which Vizcarra will take up his duties.

It must be noted Vizcarra currently serves as Peru's First Vice-President. He also headed the Transport and Communications Ministry in the current administration.

Ambassadors

Peru also named new envoys to the State of Kuwait and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Francisco Javier Rivarola Rubio will become the new Peruvian Ambassador to Kuwait, and Augusto Morelli Salgado was appointed Peru's top representative in Vietnam.
