Peru's medical equipment exporters get ready to enter the Brazil's market after importers expressed interest in purchasing Peruvian products worth over US$3.3 million, the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry announced.
Amid huge expectations, four Peruvian medical-equipment-exporting enterprises offered goods at Hospitalar 2016, international fair for equipment, services and technology designed for hospitals, laboratories, drugstores and doctor's offices.
The event gathered health sector's suppliers from 32 countries in Sao Paulo on May 17th.
National entrepreneurs’ attendance was supported by Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) and Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru).
Likewise, entrepreneurs held business meetings with importers from Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Manaus, Bahia and Goias. It concluded successfully by generating business interest worth over US$3.3 million a year.
National entrepreneurs also established contacts with counterparts from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay and Suriname, willing to bring Peru-made products into their markets.
“This is a great opportunity for sector's exporters to enter a market with great demand for medical equipment, which annual sales average over US$5.60 billion, and counts on more than 200 million consumers,” Minister Magali Silva said.
