The Citadel of Machu Picchu, located in Peru’s Southern Cusco region will continue welcoming visitors every day during 2015, the Peruvian Association of Receptive and Domestic Tourism Operators (Apotur) Chairman Enrique Quiñones affirmed.

In this framework, he invited tourists to visit not only the Citadel, but the entire Sanctuary. It consists of snow peaks, archaeological sites, forests featuring unique flora and fauna, Inca roads and others attractions. “Explore the Sanctuary,” he emphasized.

Quiñones mentioned the Inca Road is closed every February due to maintenance works and wildlife regeneration.
