Peru labour minister to attend ILO meeting in Switzerland

Peruvian Labour Minister Nancy Laos will travel to Geneva, Switzerland, next week to attend the 102nd session of the International Labour Conference (ILO).

The Peruvian minister will participate in this important meeting from June 11 to 16.

Topics to be discussed include employment and social protection in the new demographic context, as well as sustainable development, decent work, green jobs and social dialogue.

After attending this meeting, Minister Laos will head to Madrid, Spain, to visit the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (ISSO) on June 17.

The purpose of her visit is to learn more about Spain's information management system and its models for resolving issues linked to safety and health at work.

During her absence Production Minister Gladys Triveño will act as Labour Minister.
