Peru Labor Ministry program benefits over 43,000 citizens at national level

The "Impulsa Peru" (Boost Peru) National Program has benefitted 43,386 people, who were unemployed, underemployed or at risk of losing their job, the Peruvian Labor and Employment Ministry announced.

Citizens accessed training required to join the labor market by enhancing labor competences and boosting self-employment.

In Huancayo city, 40 residents received certificates. They had been trained in structural-steel welding at the National Service for Industrial Training (Senati) headquarters.

It is important to underline MTPE has been introducing the National Training Plan 2015 to 17 regions. The measure was aimed at benefitting over 11,434 (unemployed and underemployed) people thanks to an investment worth about US$4.33 million.
