Peru: Kuczynski to officially become Head of State

Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will be officially named President of the Republic of Peru on Thursday July 28.

Corresponding swearing-in ceremony will see the presence of six Latin American Heads of State and Vice-Presidents, along with high-level delegations from 80 countries and foreign entities.

Presidents Mauricio Macri (Argentina), Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia), Michelle Bachelet (Chile), Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Horacio Cartes (Paraguay) and Enrique Peña Nieto (Mexico), as well as Vice-Presidents Alvaro Garcia Liñera (Bolivia) and Foreign Affairs Minister of Brazil Jose Serra confirmed their presence.

Likewise, Spain's King Emeritus Juan Carlos I will also attend.

U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman will lead the American delegation, whereas Japan's former Economy Minister Toshiniro Nikai will represent his nation.

Most dignitaries arrived at Grupo Aero Nro. 8 Air Force Base on Wednesday; others will touch Peruvian soil on Thursday morning.
