Peru’s investment project announcement portfolio amounted to US$40.109 billion, which comprises the execution of a total 241 projects, Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) affirmed.
According to BCR, the mining sector leads project announcements thanks to an investment worth US$13.421 billion; followed by hydrocarbons (US$ 6.996 billion); electricity (US$4.967 billion); infrastructure (US$4.404 billion), industry (US$2.718 billion), as well as other sectors (US$7.603 billion).
Projects
With regard to the energy sector, projects such as Carhuaquero-Cajamarca Norte-Cáclic-Moyobamba Transmission Line and Colca an Acco Pucara hydroelectric plants entered the construction phase.
"It should be noted these represent investments worth US$500 million for the 2015-2017 period," it pointed out.
