Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski announced humanitarian aid will be delivered to people affected by last Sunday's earthquake reported in Caylloma province (Arequipa region).

The 5.2 quake hit the southern region. At least four people are dead, whereas others are wounded.

Many roads have been blocked. At least 80 houses are currently uninhabitable.

According to the Head of State, Vice President Martin Vizcarra is already in the area. The Defense Ministry will deliver corresponding aid.

Three Defense Ministry helicopters and personnel will be deployed to the area.

As is known, President Kuczynski had arrived in the city of Arequipa last Sunday to celebrate the region’s capital 476th foundation anniversary.

He returned to Lima during the afternoon. Earthquake hit Caylloma at night.
