Peru govt announces up to US$234,000 fund for innovative companies

Innovation-oriented companies in Peru have until Monday to join a bidding process for High-Impact Technological Innovations, through which they will be granted a non refundable financing of up to S/.725,000 (about US$234,248), said Peru’s Production Minister Piero Ghezzi.

The government official indicated that companies with projects that bring unique technological solutions to produce high-impact innovations will be financially supported with a non refundable aid.

High-impact innovation refers to the changes that go beyond the effects experienced in the company contributing to positive impacts at an economic, social and environmental level, provided that the projects involve a high degree of research and development activity.

The invitation has been made by the National Program of Innovation for Competitiveness and Productivity (Innovate Peru) of the Ministry of Production (Produce).
