Peru joins gastronomy festival in the Netherlands

Nearly 500 people attended the 1st Peruvian Food Festival held in The Hague.

Sponsored by Peru's Embassy in the Dutch country, the gastronomic gathering took place at the Crowne Plaza Deen Haag Promenade on May 18-21.

During the four-day event, foodies were able to enjoy various Peruvian dishes, as well as Pisco-based drinks.

Likewise, attendees were introduced to a series of national products, including peppers, tubers, custard apples and eggfruit.

Previously, renowned Inca chef Carlos Pardo-Figueroa offered a master class of Peruvian cuisine to Hotelschool The Hague's teachers and students. In addition, he gave a cooking demonstration. 

It must be noted said educational institution is considered one of the world's top five hotel management schools.
