Fine chocolate consumption expands over 20% days ahead of Mother's Day, a time of the year when products are to become gifts for female parents, Inkas Aztecas & Mayas Commercial Manager Guillermo Jose Arce Sensebe expressed.
"Every year, this product is consolidated as a gift alternative for mothers. Thanks to its high cocoa content, it is considered a healthy product [...]," Arce told Andina news agency.
Bonbon varieties are one of the company's star products.
"On these dates, people are willing to invest more in a quality chocolate; that is, a product with higher cocoa content for their loves ones, mothers, sisters, wives and daughters," he noted.
Close to 90,000 rural cocoa producers directly benefit from the greater demand for this flagship product, the main supply for Peru’s chocolate industry.
