Peru’s Finance Minister Alonso Segura highlighted the fact that social gap is reducing in Peru, as was stressed at the Annual Meetings of the WBG and the IMF held in Lima on October 5-11.

"The gap is closing, and this has been highlighted by the most impartial and authorized voices in terms of financial and social matters, as are the IMF and the WBG, which recognize Peru’s greatest achievements concerning the social agenda," the Minister pointed out.

On the other hand, he underlined the current administration’s legacy will comprise the relevant reforms implemented in education, infrastructure and the National Plan for Productive Diversification.

"These reforms must remain in place during the next Presidential term. The next administration will have to implement reforms to boost productivity and reduce informality,” he added.
