Peru's economic growth will continue accelerating over the fourth quarter of 2015, Finance and Economy Minister Alonso Segura projected.

"Recovery is going well. We expect fourth quarter's growth to be stronger than the previously-registered 2.9%. We think the economy will continue increasing and displaying greater dynamism than that of the third quarter," Segura indicated.

At the same time, the Minister mentioned Peru features one of the region's best-performing economies despite current external shocks.

"Despite all of this, Peruvian economy is still recovering [...]," he added.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Peru's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) accumulated 25 quarters of continuous growth having expanded by 2.9% between July and September mainly driven by private consumption.
