Peru: Exports to EU expanded in Jan-Apr 2017

The value of Peru's exports to the European Union (EU) totaled US$1.782 billion (up by 12.04%) in the first four-month period of 2017, the country's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) informed.

Among EU countries, Spain led the ranking by receiving 29.3% of Peru's total shipments to said economic bloc. 

The list is followed by the Netherlands (17.6%), Germany (13.7%), Italy (9.8%), the United Kingdom (8%), Belgium (7.2%), France (4.7%), Bulgaria (4.3%), Denmark (1.8%), Poland (1.6%) and the remaining EU countries (1.9%). 

Products

During the analyzed period, top exported products to the EU were: copper and concentrates; liquefied and natural gas; as well as fresh-dried mangoes and avocados; among others. 

Spain
The most demanded products by Spain were: liquefied and natural gas; copper and concentrates; fresh and dried avocados; as well as frozen regular-sized and giant squids; among others. 

France
Among Peru's top exported goods, liquefied and natural gas; prepared or canned asparagus; scallops; and fresh-dried mangoes stood out.
