The volume of exported copper reached 212,000 fine metric tons (FMT) in May 2017, Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported on Monday.

The amount led to a 1.9% increase from the same month last year.

Greater exports of refined copper were registered under Southern Copper Corporation (+26.7%).

Likewise, higher shipments of concentrated copper were made by Las Bambas (+44.5%), Chinalco (+36.6%) and Constancia (+28.4%) in the analyzed period.
