Peruvian export prices expanded 7.6% in July 2017, over the same month last year, thus maintaining the positive rates recorded since August 2016, Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported on Sunday.

Growth was underpinned by higher metal prices, which offset the price decrease for fish meal.

Better global scenario

According to the issuing entity, the average price of traditional products expanded 6.1%, supported by greater external conditions, as well as by the low supply of some basic metals.

Copper (17.7%) and zinc (40.7%) prices stood out in this sense.

Likewise, the average price of non-traditional products went up by 10.9% last July.

In this sense, farming (18.4%) and iron-steel (16.5%) sectors registered the highest prices.
