Peru: EU delegation requested to support Huancayo city government

European Union nations’ Ambassadors appointed to Peru visited Huancayo city.
At the site, they were welcome and declared “distinguished visitors” by the Huancayo mayor Alcides Chamorro.

Likewise, the burgomaster requested the diplomats' support for carrying out sanitation and solid-waste management actions. This way, the mayor proposed visitors a permanent approach to the community.

The meeting started on Thursday once the European Union Mission arrived at the Municipal Palace.

“We hope to continue making arrangements. We go step by step. We have explained the EU Ambassadors the main issues affecting Huancayo, with the aim of establishing international cooperation agreements. […],” he expressed.

During a solemn session following personalities were recognized: EU Ambassador to Peru, Irene Horejs, German Ambassador to Peru, Jorg Ranau; Austrian Ambassador to Peru, Andreas Rendl; Belgish Ambassador to Peru, Michel Dewez; French Ambassador to Peru, Fabrice Mauries; UK Ambassador to Peru, Anwar Choudhury; Polish Ambassador to Peru, Vladimir Eisenbruk; Czech Republic Ambassador to Peru, Stefan Nicolae and the Rumanian Attaché.

Mrs. Horejs thanked the Huancayo people for their warm welcome and committed to providing support for the development projects, which guarantee the life quality of residents.
