The Central Reserve Bank of Peru informed that electricity production in Peru grew 7.0% in August 2015 from the same period last year. Thus, the result is the highest expansion within one year and a half.
The performance was due to the demand from sectors, such as: mining and manufacturing, among others.
“February 2014 was the last time, electricity production increased at a similar rate and registered a 7.1% increase,” it reminded.
Electricity production is an indicator of the economic activity growth.
