Peruvian Diego Elias, who obtained a silver medal in the last edition of the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games, retained his world title at the WSF World Junior Championship, which took place in Eindhoven (Netherlands).
Elias overcame Egypt's Youssef Soliman in the finals by a (3-0) score: 11-9, 11-6 and 11-8.
It should be noted the athlete has become the fourth player in history to win this title twice after Egyptians Ramy Ashour, Mohammed Elshorbagy and Marwan Elshorbagy.
In the semifinals, the Peruvian defeated Malaysia's Eain Yow Ng, who had become champion of the 'British Junior Open U17' this year.
