The governments of Peru and Costa Rica will ink today an agreement that will facilitate visa free travel between both countries, during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the 10th Summit of the Pacific Alliance in Paracas, Peru.

According to Foreign Affairs Ministry source, the signing will take place Thursday morning.

Once in force, Costa Ricans will need just a passport to come to Peru, and vice versa.

To date, Costa Rican citizens must apply for a Peruvian visa and pay a fee of around US$30 for that.

The Central American nation is one of the 32 observer countries of the Pacific Alliance, an economic bloc comprising Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru.
