Peru's adult soccer team defeated Uruguayan counterpart (2-1) at Lima's National Stadium on Tuesday night.

The home team started to dominate the game and showed an amazing performance since the very beginning.

However, a ball passed by F.C. Barcelona's star Luis Suarez was touched by Carlos Sanchez, who slid it into the net. The visitors were partially winning the match (29').

As the game resumed, Peru's midfielder Yoshimar Yotun made a long pass to teammate and top-striker Paolo Guerrero, who managed to wisely shoot the ball thus defeating goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. Peru scored the equalizer (33').

The Inca team was showing signs of superiority on the field.

During the second half, midfielder Andre Carrillo smartly threw the ball to the center of the opponent's area.
It was first caught by Guerrero, who moved it Edison Flores. The latter actually sent it into the net. That became Peru's second goal of the night (61').

In the end, the red-white team defeated the well-known rival. The victory was even praised by President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

At Qualifiers, Peru ranks 7th (18 points), whereas Uruguay holds the third position (23 points).

The Inca team will next face Bolivia in Lima on August 31.
