Peru beat Paraguay in U15 soccer champs

Peru beat Paraguay 2-1 in their opening game of the 2013 South American Under-15 Soccer Championship in Bolivia.

Jesus Mendieta Rojas and Jordan Guivin Tanta scored in each half to seal all three points for the Peruvians in Group A.

Guillermo Frachi reduced the deficit for Paraguay fifteen minutes from time. The match was played at the IV Centenario stadium in Tarija.

La Blanquirroja, coached by Juan Jose Ore, are in Group A with Paraguay, Ecuador, Argentina and hosts Bolivia; while Group B includes defending champions Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The tournament began on Saturday, November 16, and will run through Saturday, Nov. 30.
