The Executive branch announced Saturday that Peru's Ambassador to Italy, Alfredo Arosemena, has been appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cyprus.
According to a statement published by official gazette El Peruano, the diplomat will continue to reside in the city of Rome, Republic of Italy.
The document was signed by President Ollanta Humala Tasso and Culture Minister Luis Peirano, who is currently in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Arosemena has been serving as ambassador in Rome since March last year.
