On Wednesday, Peru’s President Ollanta Humala affirmed Peru and Bolivia adopted concrete agreements during the First Binational Cabinet Meeting designed to contribute to the benefit of both nations’ citizens.
“We are concluding the First Binational Cabinet with concrete agreements regarding the axes on economic development for infrastructure, environment and water resources, security and defense, besides the social policies,” he told after the relevant meeting came to an end.
According to Mr. Humala, results obtained in the said bilateral work visit "show" the international community both countries can work together with the aim of making progress under the development in peace scheme.
"I think a very relevant chapter has been closed today, through which we show not only the peoples of Peru and Bolivia, but the entire South American community how both countries can advance under a development in peace scheme, which is bringing well-being to our peoples,” he told.
“At times of world [economic] slowdown, we are maintaining an economic growth and defeating poverty,” he added.
Peru’s President Ollanta Humala and his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales headed the First Binational Cabinet Peru-Bolivia, which took place at Libertador hotel located on Esteves island, on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
