The 7th Cocoa and Chocolate Salon was inaugurated on Thursday at Lima Convention Center.

The four-day major event gathers several Peruvian cocoa producers, entrepreneurs, as well as national and international experts.

A thematic fashion show will draw great interest from attendees staring at models wearing costumes inspired by Peruvian cocoa-growing regions.

Sponsored by the International Chocolate Awards, the 2nd National Peruvian Chocolate Contest and 10th National Peruvian Cocoa Contest will also take place within this framework.

On this occasion, a 'fondue pool' was set up at one of the compound's rooms aimed to invite attendees to taste this exquisite dessert.

Likewise, visitors are allowed to appreciate chocolate-made sculptures and participate in choco-demo sessions, where guests will be able to learn about cocoa-based dishes and drinks.

A series of conferences and a business rounds will be held as well.

It must be noted the whole event seeks to recognize excellence in the elaboration of fine chocolates, its byproducts, as well as quality of dried cocoa beans.

The Cocoa and Chocolate Salon will run thru July 10th, 2016.
